Barbara Payne From a young age, a camera always found it's way into my hands.

My greatest joy was capturing a memory as a photograph. I was the girl on the last day of school every year taking pictures of all my friends I'd miss over summer vacation.

The most exciting thing was getting the film developed! That joy became a passion with the birth of my daughter. At that time, I learned some of the techniques that I still use today!

While the technical aspect of photography has come naturally, I have strived to find the artist within.

Photography has helped my artistic side come alive. I love those pictures that capture the moment or tell a story. To see a spark in a child's eyes, and capture that is what it's all about! I love doing more traditional portraits as well, but even in the studio I capture the candid moments. This is my photography. . .
